Calvary Baptist Church

Students age 3 through 4th grade learn about the Bible in an active, hands-on class. Kids experience powerful connections between Scripture and everyday life by engaging all five of their senses. The Bible comes alive!

Grades 5-8 focus on weekly Bible study and developing a prayer life. Students learn the purpose and importance of Believer’s Baptism and participate in service projects such as collecting food for the food bank, making gifts for our veterans, and sending handmade cards to our home-bound members. 

Students in 9th-12th grade are reading various translations of the same Bible verses in order to have a better understanding of familiar verses. We also answer questions teens face every day. Students interpret the Word differently and we work to find the meaning of the message as well as the answer to our questions. 

Trusted by church leaders for over 100 years, The Standard Lesson Quarterly provides quality, biblically sound lessons. Each quarter contains 13 weeks of lessons, including ready to use resources to enhance Bible study.

News is inevitable--whether it be good or bad, but what better way to extract hope from this input is to juxtapose Scriptures as tools to persevere and navigate our daily walk in the Christian faith.

In addition to classes available at 9:30 AM, before worship, Calvary also has two classes that meet on Wednesdays: A morning class that reads throughs books selected by members of the class, and a Wednesday Evening class led by Rev. Thomas.
